Where is Fortuna Retreat?
Fortuna Retreat is on Calle Don Vital Castro in La Fortuna, Alajuela, Costa Rica, near Arenal Volcano National Park. La Fortuna Waterfall, the town center and the area's top hot springs are about five minutes away. See it on the map.
What rooms do you have?
Twelve rooms in four styles, all with Arenal Volcano views: Premium Villas (85 m², private plunge pool, sleeps 2), Panoramic View Rooms (50 m², sleeps 2), Tropical Forest Rooms (75 m², sleeps 2) and Family Rooms (75 m², a queen and a single bed, sleeps 3). Compare the rooms.
What does every room include?
Air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi with a workstation, a Smart TV, a mini-bar, a private terrace, daily housekeeping and free parking. There is also an electric vehicle charging station on site.
What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 3:00 pm and check-out is by 11:00 am.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 7 days before arrival for a full refund. Cancellations made 7 days or fewer before arrival are non-refundable, and non-refundable rates can't be changed or refunded.
Is there a pool?
Yes. Each Premium Villa has its own private plunge pool, and the Panoramic View, Tropical Forest and Family Rooms share the retreat's pool.
Do you have accessible rooms?
Yes. Our Family Rooms are step-free and designed for guests with mobility needs, and accessible parking is available.
How do I get to Fortuna Retreat from the airport?
We arrange air-conditioned shuttles between Fortuna Retreat and San José (SJO) or Liberia (LIR) international airports: a shared shuttle on set daily departures, or a private shuttle just for your group. We can also arrange private transfers to anywhere in Costa Rica. See shuttle options.
Can you arrange tours and activities?
Yes. We book Río Celeste, the Mistico Hanging Bridges, sloth tours, whitewater rafting, ziplining, canyoning, hot springs, massages and more, and most tours include pick-up at Fortuna Retreat. See all activities and prices.
